Seomra na nEalaíon
Dedicated to Derek Hill (1916 – 2000), James Dixon(1887 -1970) and the Tory School of Art, the Seomra na nEalaíon offers fine dining options in an environment that celebrates the artistic heritage of the Tory Island art movement and exhibits works from past and present members of the of Tory Island Artistic group. Our refined food and wine menus, offering seafood specialities, will surely please the discerning palate. An Curragh Bar
Celebrating the life and times of the Tory Curragh and the Island’s traditional Curragh makers – you might meet one of them if you are lucky - the bar offers a fine selection of beers and wines, along with a great bar menu. So, unwind and relax after a long walk to the Tor Mór or the Lighthouse, or a cycling, kayaking or angling expedition – take the break, you deserve it.
In the evenings – during high season – enjoy traditional entertainment and join in the singing or dance the night away when the Hotel disco comes to town.
The Sunroom (An Seomra Gréine)
Enjoy High Tea, a glass of wine, or just relax after dinner and watch the sun go down over West Town and Tory Harbour. Throughout the day, the sunroom is a quiet space to read your book or magazine and to let the world go by - High Tea can be arranged directly at the reception.
The Harbour View (Outdoor Eating)
Like our little friend, the Corncrake... your long journey is over, and it is time to dump the bags and to rest – time to have a beer, a glass of wine, a snack or bar meal and to look out over the harbour to An Camus Mór, the Seven Sisters and Cnoc Fola on the Tír (the mainland) – take in the view and get some rays. In the evening, watch the pink sunsets over Tory island, watch the swallows swoop and dive, and hear the ‘craik’, ‘craik’ call of our elusive little friend.
